Alim Merali is a past Canadian Student Debating Federation National Champion. He developed the debate training program at The Speech Studio Inc., a speech communication academy. Alim has coached speech and debate at high schools and has directed the Alberta Debate Championships and the Alberta Model Legislature. He serves on the Alberta Debate and Speech Association's Board of Directors.
In 2006, Alim earned his Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
